Hope In The Hopeless Situations Of Life
My original intent of this blog was for it to serve as a monument for God’s faithfulness. Old Testament biblical figures built monuments (In Genesis 28 Jacob creates a memorial pillar from a simple stone) in places where they experienced God to serve as physical reminders. Elsewhere in the bible Psalms 9:1 says “I’m thanking you, God, from a full heart, I’m writing the book on your wonders.” I want to openly share my story in hopes that these words may serve as a monument of my experiences with God and that through this blog I may take part in “writing the book of [God’s] wonders”. Since childhood I have loved the art of writing. It was when I was 30 years old and miscarried our first child that I took my writing into the blog-world. Join me here on my journey of trials and unexpected blessings. I am shaped most profoundly these days by mothering 3 young children: a 5 year old daughter and twin 2 year old boy-girl twins. In addition I am a cancer survivor (diagnosed with Stage 4 Glioblastoma – brain cancer- in Nov 2016). I am so grateful to have my loving husband of 15 years, Ryan at my side through all the beautiful chaos.

Music brings us together in celebration
Music is an inspiring and fascinating celebration of social justice, breaking down the barriers between those of faith, and no faith – it is not only fun – it lifts the hearts of all of us who believe in a better world and gives us hope for tomorrow.
